Cat gave birth, now bleeding with stomach lump. Another kitten inside?

Congratulations on the kittens. If Fluffu did not have an xray to determine the amount of kittens prior to labor (which I assume based on your question that she did not) then it is hard to say for certain about what you are feeling. The "hard lump" could be her uterus not yet contracted down to a small size, her mammary glands (those are outside the abdomen but you may still be feeling them as the "hard lump"), another kitten, or simply a full stomach. Hopefully there is not another kitten in there at this point since she is finished with labor. You can monitor and watch her closely and continue to feel the "hard lump", but if you are pretty suspicious about the possibility of another kitten the safest thing to do is to have a veterinarian examine her. The doctor may be able to tell just on physical exam what the hard lump is or can take an xray for definitive diagnosis of knowing if there is another kitten in there. The only way to know if she has any other kittens inside her is to take her to a vet and have an x-ray done. I strongly suggest you do this. If there is a dead kitten (or more than one) still inside her she will get extremely sick and die. Please get her to a vet as soon as possible.

It may be a hernia, but your veterinarian will need to make the diagnosis after a physical exam. If it is a hernia, a repair may be done if you decide to have her spayed. [Spaying](https://www.petcoach.co/article/spaying-ovariohysterectomy-the-benefits-in-cats) would strongly be recommended if she is not breeding stock or a show cat. This would prevent accidental or unwanted litters in the future. Spaying also decreases the risk of mammary gland tumors (breast cancer) and eliminates the risk of a pyometra (uterine infection) later in life.

It sounds like Callie is no longer showing signs of active labor, and some bloody discharge can be normal for days to weeks following the birth of a litter. It would be unusual however for her to have only one kitten and I would be concerned that there might be other kittens left behind. I would recommend seeing a vet as soon as you can - if there are other kittens that are alive but distressed a c-section might be necessary, and if there are other kittens that have died Callie probably would still need surgery to have them removed.

She may have more kittens in her uterus, and maybe one kitten is blocking the soft birth canal. Please take Tuti to a veterinarian right away. This is life-threatening to your cat as well as the kittens. The kittens may still be alive, so please do not wait and see. This is an emergency.

Poor kitty! If she is still having contractions and something seems to be protruding from her vagina, I would be concerned that she may still have one or more kittens inside her. This is potentially a life-threatening problem, so I would recommend taking her to the vet right away for an exam. He/she can take x-rays to see if there are still more kittens inside her. If so, she will likely need an emergency c-section to get them out.
