My cat ate too many treats and has gas. Is he sick or just greedy?

While not an ideal main diet, there shouldn't be too much trouble with her eating this many treats, though she may have some mild intestinal upset, just feed her as usual and make sure she has plenty of clean, fresh water. If she does show any signs of illness, refusal to eat, vomiting, diarrhea, get her in to see your vet as soon as possible.

If your cat only vomits when given a treat but otherwise is tolerating the wet food without vomiting or diarrhea, then there is little cause for concern. Cat do not need extra treats to be happy and healthy. In fact, some cats can be very sensitive to even minor changes in their diet. Hello. Your kitty may be suffering from some type of food allergy. You can switch her to a sensitive stomach type of cat food ( Hill's Science Diet has a good one ), or you can talk to your vet about a Prescription Diet. I would also start using a good probiotic like Forti-Flora. You feed I little packet once a day for a month & see if things improve. Of course, if she is not feeling well, you must consider having her seen by your veterinarian to make sure there is not something seriously wrong with her digestive tract. If your kitten is active, playful, and eating and drinking, then I'm not too worried. Your kitten may have overeaten and his GI tract might be working hard on digestion, or there could be intestinal parasites or gas causing the GI sounds. If he is otherwise happy and active, I'd just monitor for now and mention it at his next kitten visit, and bring in a fresh fecal sample for your vet to check for parasites. What a cutie!!! A bloated tummy is most often related to worms or an upset tummy. I recommend to call your vet and ask if Raichu needs to be dewormed again. I'm not sure if you changed his diet but I recommend the brand Royal Canin. It is low residue and highly digestible and this results in great stool quality, minimal quantity and low odor. Poor Rodney! You may want to try a probiotic mixed into his food once a day, such as Forti-Flora - this often helps with excessive gas. Another option would be to try a different food, as there may be an ingredient in his current diet that doesn't agree with him - there are companies like Natural Balance and Wellness that make limited ingredient diets that may be a better fit for him. If these things don't help, then it would be a good idea to have him checked by a vet to make sure that nothing else is wrong. Your vet may also recommend a prescription GI diet, or a hypoallergenic diet to see if this is more effective.

If he seems to always be hungry and appears bloated then it would be worth making sure he is well up to date on wormer. The fortiflora should help also, and then if it continues to be an issue I would try him on a good for gastrointestinal/digestive issues and see if that helps. Failing that consult your vet in case he has a gut issue.
