My cat ate a Nerf bullet and is throwing up. Should I see a vet?

Poor Willie! Given that it appears she has vomited a foreign object (decorative balls from your bedspread) and the face she isn't eating, I would take her into a vet now. It's actually very serious when a cat doesn't eat, as they will develop a fatty liver when they go too long without eating. A fatty liver is fatal without treatment, so that needs to be avoided. If he ate the balloon two weeks ago and is now vomiting than he should be examined by a vet right away. There is a chance the balloon is causing an obstruction and your vet can take an x-ray to determine the cause. If he has an obstruction, he will need surgery to remove the balloon.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do back home and he needs to be seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible as this type of foreign body can cause chronic inflammation and sit down in the gastrointestinal system for long time if not removed appropriately. Since your cat has a history of ingesting a foreign body and has been vomiting so frequently I would be concerned. I would recommend taking him in to the vet to be examined and have X-rays performed to rule out a potential intestinal blockage. If a blockage is present emergency surgery may be needed. Hello, sorry to hear about your kitty. He could be vomiting from irritation caused by the bubble wrap. Alternatively, your kitten may have gotten into something else that you did not note. You should bring him to a veterinarian if he vomits more than 3-4 times in a day, if he becomes lethargic, or he loses his appetite. Otherwise, he may get over this on his own within a few days. Hello. With Ginger vomiting, I would be very concerned that she may have a blockage in her upper small intestines where an enema will never reach. After 24 hours, it is now time to seek veterinary attention. Poor Ginger will continue to deteriorate due to dehydration & loss of electrolytes. Often, just with the use of IV fluid therapy & the judicious use of laxatives & motility modifying medications, a blockage can sometimes resolve on its own in the hospital. Otherwise, this may require surgery if there is a firm, non-moving obstruction. Please have Ginger evaluated as soon as possible to hopefully get her back to normal quickly. Generally, the plastic of cat toys is fairly thin and flexible, but if it is hard with sharp edges, it is certainly possible that it can cause problems similar to a bone. If Mia vomited the toy, hopefully this will not be an issue.
