I have been reading that Canola oil in cat food is not good for them. What are some side effects of canola oil for cats?

Hello. Canola oil is pure fat & fats can cause obesity, lead to diabetes & possibly pancreatitis. The small amount that is present in many pet diets is completely safe. As long as you are not adding any additional Canola oil to the diet you do not need to worry at all about the oil used in the food. This is just another of those internet falsehoods.
