This is really not recommended. While I appreciate that you are a vegetarian it is not fair to subject your cat to your beliefs. Cats are carnivores by nature and their body/metabolism is set up for processing protein; especially a cat like can Ocicat. Cat also need the amino acid taurine - without it they will have many health issues. They get taurine from meat or specially formulated cat food. Please do not make your cat a vegetarian. It definitely could harm to feed some human food depending on the particular pet, what is fed, and of course how much. I would advise staying away from feeding human food to your cat. Many foods can cause GI upset and other problems including toxicity. Cats should eat a high protein, low carb diet. The protein should be of animal, not plant origin. Hello. Canola oil is pure fat & fats can cause obesity, lead to diabetes & possibly pancreatitis. The small amount that is present in many pet diets is completely safe. As long as you are not adding any additional Canola oil to the diet you do not need to worry at all about the oil used in the food. This is just another of those internet falsehoods. I would not recommend coconut oil. This will close the pores of the skin and cause a skin infection. I recommend an over the counter aloe and oatmeal shame. This is going to cause a nice shinny coat. I do understand your diet preference but cats do eat protein in the wild and is needed for there proper growth. However if you have Holly on a proper diet she does not need any type of supplements the normal food is enough. For any type of bug- maybe fleas - I would recommend a topical flea prevention every 30 days. Typically the baths only wash off the fleas but does not prevent them from coming back.
