What to do if a bird falls in your pool and is struggling to survive?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

4 blackbirds fell in our pool 2 died. We have experienced these blackbirds drowning in our pool today. I just found 2 blackbirds in the swimming pool. Is there a way I can help these 2 so they don't die like the others?

The prudent chice would be to get them into the hands of an experienced wildlife rehabilitaor. This person will have the knowledge and experience to give the birds the greatest chance at eventual release. You can search online for local rehabbers or you can contact a local veterinary clinic or veternary ER. Theses places usually have contact information for rehabilitators.
