My bird has blood under its wing. Is it a blood feather? What's next?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | 1lb

My bungie has a small amount of blood under her wing when I got home last night. She was acting like normal no sign of pain. I know it could be pin feathers but I’m not sure how to handle it. She looks ok today.

I would very gently catch Sky and carefully check under her wings for any damage such as cuts. I imagine you won't find anything as like you say she has likely pulled out a blood feather. As long as you don't find anything I would don't monitor her for the next few days. If you find anything worrying I would have her checked by your vet.
