Why is my male horse suddenly chasing and bullying my female pony?

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Horse | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 5 months old

Anchor won't let my Shetland pony Lucy alone he keeps chasing her around the feild and she keeps kicking him a few days ago they were besties now anchor has become a bully what's going on? How can I get this to stop

It sounds like Anchor may be chasing Lucy because he thinks she is in heat. Lucy is not receptive to his attention because she probably is not in estrus quite yet. This should resolve in the next few days as Lucy moves through her cycle. If it does not discontinue it could suggest an underlying hormone producing ovarian mass and you will need to have Lucy checked out by a veterinarian.
