Can you dry grass from your backyard to make hay?

Technically yes you can but you would have to let the grass grow longer that unusual and then cut it by hand as a lawn mower mushes the grass up too much which can cause issues in the gut. After cut by hand you need to leave the grass lying out for a few days to dry in the sun and it will be necessary to turn it a few times. It could certainly be done but would take a lot of effort.
