My rabbit's lady parts are exposed and displaced. What should I do?

Sorry to see what's going on with Ebony. If at all possible, I would say that you should have Ebony examined by a veterinarian. They should be able to shave some of the hair around the affected area to get a very good look at what exactly is happening, and to what extent the affected area is afflicted. Unspayed female rabbits are much more prone to the outer and inner portions of their genitals having disease processes. These can include superficial infections, abscesses, or disease processes caused by hormonal imbalances. Hope this helps.

Infection and inflammation of the skin around the vulva in female rabbits can be fairly common. So far, you did the right thing by gently cleansing the area. Your veterinarian will likely need to clip and clean the area of inflammed skin and will probably prescribe some antibiotics and possibly a topical ointment to help the skin heal. Thanks for reaching out about Boopsie. She needs to see a veterinarian tonight, especially is still bleeding and anorexic. Discharging blood can be from uterine cancer, a urinary tract stone or other serious causes. The sooner this is dealt with, the better the prognosis. Good luck.

It isn't normal at all and is probably a sign of a severe gastrointestinal infection, unless you are mistaking and it's actually coming from the urinary tract, in that case it could be a urinary infection. either way it needs to be treated urgently, you need to take her to the vet ASAP in order to get it treated.

She has an infection. It may just be the external structures you can see or it may be coming from the inside (either a bladder infection or a uterine infection). If you have tried to breed her and she isn't getting pregnant then she may very well have an underlying uterine infection. I suggest you get her to a vet for an exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

I am sorry to hear about Babycakes! If she had blood in her urine I would bring her in to the vet's office as soon as possible. Rabbits can be delicate creatures and the sooner they are seen if sick the better. The vet will examine Babycakes and may try to take a urine sample to check for infection and crystals and recommend an x-ray to check for bladder stones.
