My new mouse has a belly bump. Could it be pregnant or a tumor?

I would recommend having Peachy examined by a vet. Mice can develop tumors just like humans, and with the small size of their body, it can be some obviously large very quickly. A vet will do an exam and determine if this is the case. If it is, they can discuss treatment options and help you watch out for signs of decreasing quality of life.

Based on the location on the mass, and how fast it has come on, I would be concerned that it could be an infection, or potentially a tumor. I would recommend taking Tiny into a veterinarian. They can perform an examination, and can put a needle into the mass, remove some cells, and put the cells under the microscope for evaluation. Depending on what they find, they may have medications that they can prescribe (for example, antibiotics if it is an infection). Please don’t give any human medications to Tiny, as many of them are harmful to our furry friends. I hope that gives you a place to start, and that Tiny feels better soon.

I agree that the area in question on Yolandi does appear swollen. Is she housed with any other mice? Is there any chance she could be pregnant ? If not then I would be concerned about the potential of an abscess (infection), or possibly a tumor that could be altering her hormone levels. This could be an abscess, a hernia or a tumor. Unfortunately tumors are common in rats, so if this started small and then grew to this size over time, it is likely a tumor. A tumor in this area is relatively easy to remove if you don't let it get too big, as the surgeon needs enough healthy skin to close the wound again after surgery. A hernia can be easily repaired surgically. You can check whether it is a hernia by gently pressing on the lump and if you can make it disappear into the abdomen, it is a hernia. An abscess will need to be lanced and your rat will need antibiotics. I suggest you schedule an appointment with a veterinarian soon.

Mice will fight viciously and can seriously injure each other. I would suggest setting up separate cages for them to avoid injury and possibly even death. If the would is deep enough he may need to see the veterinarian for antibiotics.

We don't normally have parasites that get large enough to palpate/feel through the stomach or feel them move, so if the lump itself is moving I would be inclined to suspect pregnancy. If you take your bunny to a vet, they may be able to palpate the abdomen and determine if she is pregnant.
