My hamster ate baking soda. Is he okay if he shows no symptoms?

If he ingested it yesterday and seems fine today then he was very lucky but he is probably now out of the danger zone as the drug is not likely to still be in his system (unless he is hiding it in his cheek pouch).

IF she did not eat a lot then it's not likely to cause her any issues, the main concern is the release of gases which occurs with food and water ingestion, i would recommend fasting her for 12 hours just in case.

Vinegar is not an item that should be fed to hamsters as it is too acidic. A tiny amount of vinegar is likely no cause for concern. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite or loose stool. If he is not symptomatic by now, he may be in the clear.

Unless you applied a huge amount of baking soda to your puppy, it is not likely that he infested enough to cause an issue. A light dusting on his fur would not be enough to be toxic. If he is acting okay, at this point I would recommend a bath. If you do not have any puppy shampoo, you can use a mild dish washing liquid soap or simply use warm water.

A handful of rabbit food should not cause much a detrimental effect to your hamster. It is possible that you could see some minor gastrointestinal upset leading to some diarrhea, but as long as that does not continue in any extended way Baby Girl should be OK. Constantly feeding the wrong type of food to her would definitely lead to vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Feed a high quality diet designed for rodents only. Hope this helps!

Hudson likely would be just fine even if he ate some of the pickle. If he is walking, eating, drinking normally and not lethargic/tired there is nothing that you would need to do other than just offering him his regular food treats in the future! Good luck!

Ham is safe. At most it would cause an upset stomach, which could cause vomiting and/or diarrhea, but nothing serious. It's unlikely that buster will have any issues due to this, so no need to do anything drastic. It must have been a great Thanksgiving snack for him though. I hope that helps and happy Thanksgiving!
