What's the best diet for my 3-month-old rabbit and how much?

Pellets should be limited to no more than 1/8 cup daily. You can feed a1 cup of vegetables per 4 pounds of body weight daily. Timothy hay or similar grasses can be offered in unlimited amounts. Alfalfa can be fed up until 7 months of age then discontinued.

Commercial rabbit food from the shop is good, as is cucumber (more for moisture than food) and do not feed too many cabbage leaves. You can try to go to a park and get some grass (Smilee Greens should be near you). Make sure your rabbit has fresh water available at all times.

Commercial pellets should be offered at about 1/2 cup per day to an adult 2kg rabbit. With young rabbits (<6 months) there is no need to limit the pellets. A handful of leafy greens may be added 1-2 times daily. As to the urines, just keep the cage as clean as possible and replace the substrate when it gets wet. Regards

Great questions! From weaning up to seven months of age, Lenny can have unlimited amounts of pellets and alfalfa hay. Since he can have this food in an unlimited amount, just make sure he has plenty of both at all times, replacing old food with fresh food at least once a day. Do not start introducing vegetables until he is three months of age. At that point in time, start introducing small amounts at a time. I hope this helps!

Any diet change in a rabbit should transition very slowly as their GI tract does not tolerate change well.
