Pet store sold chameleon with no info. What are my legal rights?

I'm sorry you are going through this. You should contact Petsmart management to discuss the situation and reasoning behind their actions. I'm not a lawyer, so I can't comment on the legality but you should check state and local property laws.

It is very unlikely that the store will take the gecko back, as they will not know whether it has any health problems. If you cannot keep it, you should ask your local shelter to take it , or contact a reptile club in your area. Maybe someone will take the Gecko off your hands.

Sounds like MBD. Without more information all I can tell you is that you should take them to see a reptile veterinarian. This could be trauma/injury but honestly, most problems we see with reptiles are due to improper diet and/or husbandry. I would to know how long you have had them, what is their cage setup, what is the lighting/temperature/humidity set up, what diet have you been feeding, any supplements? How long were you gone? Etc. Hello, I’m so sorry to hear about your chameleon. What you are describing sounds very serious. Without doing an exam, I really can’t determine what could be going on, but I worry she could have a serious infection, retained eggs, or some other problem. Unfortunately, she may be in terminal stages of a disease. Given how serious this sounds, I honestly don’t think there is anything you can do at home without the help of a veterinarian (besides keeping her warm and hydrated). Any antibiotic that would be effective in a reptile her size would need to be prescribed by a veterinarian. If you believe she is dying, then euthanasia may be an option to ease her suffering, and this is typically a reasonably priced service. I’m very sorry she is so ill. Most pet stores will not "buy" back animals. Each one may have a different policy, so you would need to contact the store directly and speak with a manager. Contact the local humane society and ask if they have any people looking to adopt a bird. You can do the same with local veterinary clinics. If there is an avian vet nearby, contact them or check the office bulletin board. There may be options there.
