My Burmese python has a head sore. Is it a burn, or something serious?

Hello and thank you for your post! From the picture you have provided, my primary suspicions would be a thermal burn. I would make sure that your heat sources are well-covered and that what she touches near the heat source is well protected and does not transfer heat so to cause Burns. Another possibility is that if she has recently shut it, sometimes you can get superficial temporary Legion Post shedding that typically resolves on its own. I would monitor this area for now and if it worsens or does not improve I would get her scene by her veterinarian in order to get her the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment. I hope this helps!
