My bearded dragon jumped on a log, holding feet up. Should I worry?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Reptile | Bearded Dragon | Female

So my bearded dragon has a log in her cage under the heating light and i was watching her and she suddenly jumped on it and was laying on it with her hands/feet off of it in the air. Im wondering if I should be worried or not.

As long as this just happened for a second I wouldn't be very concerned about it. It's likely that Pixie was simply startled by something that you or I can't even perceive. If this was going on continually or repeatedly, I would absolutely say that a visit to a veterinarian comfortable with reptiles would be in order. Hope this answers your concerns.
