Why does my Yorkie puppy sleep so much and twitch in their sleep?

No need to worry! Hiccups are common in puppies. The twitching and making noises is normal too. Puppies and dogs dream, so these movements and sounds can be in response to dreams they are having. I have a dog who barks in her sleep sometimes, and her legs move. I like to think she is chasing something :-)

He is a baby. He might be scared at night so he does not sleep well and has to recuperate sleep during the day. You could play and exercise with him to get tired during evening and get him a clock that tics. The tic tac of the clock mimics the heartbeats of mom and can be soothing . Occassional twitches or movements while sleeping can be normal.
