My 4-week-old Yorkie puppy is inactive. Should I be concerned?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 29 days old | 0.25 lbs

I have a litter of Yorkies 4 wks old yesterday. 2 girls are very active but the Male, who weighs the most, is not as active. Should I be concerned that hes not as playful as the other 2?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Not necessarily. Dogs can be quite different in their behaviors so if he is otherwise normal, I think this may be his normal self. These behaviors can change over time so he may become more active with time. Good luck and have a good night!
