Why does my dog twitch and snore in sleep? Is it normal or seizures?

This all sounds like normal sleep behavior, and I would not be concerned. If Chutki is drooling when she is awake, then you might want to have a veterinarian look in her mouth and see if she has a problem with her teeth. Mouth pain can often cause drooling. Sleep paralysis is not a recognized syndrome in dogs. Most dogs will dream and have some twitching and even whining while they sleep. We assume they are dreaming but since they can't tell us no one knows for sure. If you dog is twitching in his sleep and won't wake up I would be more worried it is seizure activity. If he does it again I suggest you video the behavior with your phone and show it to your vet.

It is normal for dogs to go someone limp and have rapid eye movement while in deep sleep, just like with people. In some cases, you may see your dog whimper or even twitch their limbs if they are dreaming or deep in REM. If your pup seems in distress, or this happens often or when she isn't asleep, a vet checkup is always a good idea.

No need to worry! Hiccups are common in puppies. The twitching and making noises is normal too. Puppies and dogs dream, so these movements and sounds can be in response to dreams they are having. Puppies can twitch in their sleep due to dreams they are having, so it may not be that Cali was having a seizure. Sometimes puppies can be a deep sleep and it can take longer to walk them, but I would keep an eye on her to be safe. Because I can't see her in person, I can't say for certain she didn't have a seizure, but you wouldn't have been able to wake her at all if she was having one. If you are very concerned, have her seen by a vet in the morning for a health check.

I hate to hear that Peyton had some sort of an episode. Certainly urinating on himself is suspicious of a seizure type activity, although other neurological abnormalities could cause similar signs. I recommend to have him seen by his veterinarian today if possible. The doctor will check his neurological reflexes to try to determine the cause. If it was a seizure, this can be caused by epilepsy, electrolyte imbalance, liver disease or cancer.
