How to stop my Yorkie puppy from scratching and heal neck sores?

It really comes down to figuring out what is causing his allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). If that does not seem to be the issue then you are left out having to check for environmental allergies which require blood and/or skin tests. Allergies can be very frustrating to deal with at first but so rewarding at the end when we are able to treat them effectively!

It is possibele he has a contact irritation from soemthing he is sleeping on, or possibly the wipes or he may have mites (inside the skin, not visible), a bacterial or fungal infection. I recommend a full vet check as soon as possible in order to identify and treat the source of his discomfort

Hello, sorry to hear about Freya. It looks like she has a local skin infection which could be secondary to a severe episode of allergies. You can wipe the area with skin sensitive baby wipes 2-3 times daily. If this isn't improving within 10 days or if it is getting worse, then Freya should be evaluated by her veterinarian as she may need oral antibiotics and allergy medications. I'm sorry that Gracie is so itchy. I would strongly suspect that she has a skin infection, either of bacteria or yeast. This most often happens secondarily when there is something else irritating the skin - like something she is allergic to or even sometimes mites. I would recommend taking her to your veterinarian for an examination. They will most likely do a test called a skin scraping so that they can look at a sample of her skin under the microscope to diagnose it and know how best to treat her. This is not an emergency, but should be addressed as soon as you are able. Until you are able to take her to your veterinarian, I would either put a cone on her or a shirt or baby onesie to prevent her from licking and scratching. You could also apply a thin layer of triple antibiotic cream and hydrocortisone to the skin in order to help with the itching.

Place an e-collar (cone) on her to prevent further rubbing or trauma. By your description, Sophie may have allergies. These can be frustrating to diagnose since there are many causes (fleas, foods, inhaled, contactor seasonal). You may not see any fleas, but in sensitive dogs, just one flea bite can trigger a reaction. Have your veterinarian physically examine Sophie. She may need antibiotics to treat any infection, steroids to stop the itch and antihistamines to prevent it from recurring. Discuss allergy testing, hydrolyzed diets and food elimination trials with your vet during the exam.

The lesions that you are seeing on the back of Bruce's neck could be a result of a skin infection from his excessive scratching (possibly related to allergies to fleas, food or environmental factors), but could also be associated with ringworm, mange or benign or malignant cancerous processes. Bruce should go to his vet for evaluation because he likely needs a course of antibiotics to treat any infection present. Until you can get to the vet, keep an e-collar (cone) on him to prevent further scratching and skin damage. Also be sure that he is receiving a high quality flea preventative (such as Nexgard, Bravecto or K9 Advantix II) regularly.
