My 6-week Yorkie puppy is itching with no fleas or rash. What's wrong?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 13 days old | 6.3 lbs

My 6 week old Yorkshire terrier keeps scratching behind his front legs and around his neck (with it without collar) I've checked him several times and he has no rash, no red marks, no flakes, no fleas or ticks. I've wiped him down with doggie wash clothes every morning and night since I noticed the itching. I don't know what it could be or what I could do to help him.

It is possibele he has a contact irritation from soemthing he is sleeping on, or possibly the wipes or he may have mites (inside the skin, not visible), a bacterial or fungal infection. I recommend a full vet check as soon as possible in order to identify and treat the source of his discomfort
