Can my vaccinated dog get parvo from eating another dog's poop?

They should be fine. Since they have been vaccinated for parvovirus they are protected. Generally unvaccinated puppies are at high risk, adult dogs don't get it as often, especially those that are vaccinated. In theory, she has not mount a response to her vaccines yet so she can still get infected with like parvovirus if those feces were infected with parvovirus. However, that is very unlikely so I would not worry about that too much as the chance of that is very small. Good luck and have a great day! She is likely going to be just fine.

There is less risk for an adult fully vaccinated dog to develop parvovirus, but it can be a very hardy virus and live for a long time on clothing or shoes. To be safe I would change clothes after coming in contact with the puppy and wash hands thoroughly. You can clean shoes in a mixture of bleach and water (1:32).

I'm so sorry Astrid has parvo! You did the right thing by taking her into the vet right away. If your other dog is fully vaccinated and current on her vaccines, she cannot get parvo. If she's not fully vaccinated or isn't up to date on her parvo vaccines, yes she can get it. The guinea pig cannot get it.

Hi there. Assuming Sophie has had her full vaccination schedule and appropriate boosters then the likelihood of her becoming ill with parvovirus is very rare. Of course, some animals don’t respond as well to vaccines as others, but that is a rare occurrence. If for some reason she does get sick and you have proof of vaccination given by a veterinarian then most vaccine companies will pay for treatment. Parvo is a species specific virus and cats cannot get the dog version of Parvo. Cats do have their own version of a cat Parvo called Panleukepenia. You do need to make sure Anna is kept up to date on this vaccine as she could get the virus from other cats. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
