That way the new doctor can review his record prior to the visit so they know what vaccines he is due for. They may prefer one clinic for illnesses or complicated problems, and use another that is closer to their home or less expensive for vaccines or simple wellness care. The most important thing is to make sure that the staff at both clinics is current on your pet's medical history and any medications she is taking, so that there is no confusion - you can ask to have records faxed to the other clinic after each visit, if needed.

That said, they may at least be able to confirm neuter/vaccine status for you so you can let your vet know. If you can't get any records, you can also have your current vet perform a titer test to see where Wooly's immunity levels are, and then booster vaccines from there.
