Senior dog incontinence: What foods or supplements can really help?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 70 lbs

We have a senior boxer, she is about 9 years old now. She is loosing bladder control, not just dribbles but walking and full on peeing like she doesn't even notice it. We are getting her diapers but are there any supplements or foods that can help with this?

It could be that Shiloh is suffering for spay incontinence. This is due to weakening of the muscles of the urethra, and it can be treated medically. IT could also be that she has a UTI or bladder stones. I would have her seen by a vet for this behavior. The vet can diagnose what is causing it, and can prescribe medication to treat it. I hope this helps!
