My elderly dog has blood in his urine. Can I give him a capsule of metrogyl tonight. Taking sample to Vet tomorrow morning. He currently is on steroids and gabapentin

Hi and thanks for your request. As long as he is able to urinate and he is fairly active in himself, I would recommend to wait before giving any medication as if urine culture will be needed, then urine needs to be taken directly from the bladder without previous antibiotic treatment. My recommendation would be to hold on until tomorrow am.
