It sounds as Albert is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Hello, and thank you for your question. Blood in the urine can be a sign of a urinary tract infection, urinary crystals, bladder stones, prostate infection, or kidney disease, among other things. I would suggest having Bronx checked out by a vet if the bloody urine continues over the next 24 hours. The vet will recommend a urine sample to check for infection, crystals, protein loss, etc. They may also check his prostate via a rectal exam. In the meantime, I would encourage Bronx to drink more water and take him out to pee a bit more often to flush out any potential bacteria or crystals in his urinary tract. The masses under the skin can be due to a benign or malignant growth. Both of these conditions can be linked or be completely separate issues. A urinalysis and urine culture can be performed to check the urine. Abdominal imaging may also be recommended. The lumps could be benign or malignant growths. This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. This sign could be due to a inflammation/infection of the urinary tract including prostate as well. In my opinion an ultrasound and urine analysis (with urine take by cystocentesis directly from the bladder) would be necessary to be able to understand properly underlying cause of it. More sinister causes like tumors of the urinary tract/prostate must be considered as well. Unfortunately prognosis is not certain until underlying cause is not diagnosed properly. As you know, the first step in evaluating an increase in water intake and urination is to check a urine sample and blood work. Based on those results, did your vet recommend any additional testing? I would presume that Dude's urine concentration was low That can hide a number of things that can be going on. So, you could consider getting a sterile urine sample to submit to the lab for urine culture and sensitivity to see if a urinary tract infection is hiding in a dilute urine sample.
