Is it safe to deworm my 2-month-old puppy right after vaccination?

Hi, I would not repeat the dewormer dose as you do not want to overdose her on the dewormer. She should be dewormed again in 3 weeks to make sure you got the life cycle of all the parasites she may have. If she is not having diarrhea or weight loss she may not even have worms. There is not a need to deworm her before the vaccines, they will still work properly regardless of the worming. I would go to your vet for vaccines and bring a stool sample with you to see if they could check it for worms. Depending on what eggs they see, they might recommend a different dewormed like pyrantel or panacur (fenbendazole). Either way, i would not redose her because she is so small and it is easy to overdose them and make them sick. If your vet suggests something different, you can follow his or her instructions. Hello! We very routinely perform vaccines as well as give dewormers at the same visit. This should not be a problem as long as your puppy is healthy. We typically recommend 3 sets of vaccines (at 8, 12 and 16 weeks) and deworming every 2 weeks until they are over 4 months of age. Good job taking care of your puppy to keep him healthy!

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think it is fine to give the tape worm dewormer 2-3 days after the distemper vaccine. That way if Oliver has any vomiting. diarrhea or change in appetite we know what did it-the vaccine or the dewormer. I hope this help!

Looks like roundworms. There are many OTC dewormers that should work just fine. You can look for one that contains Pyrantel. It is still a good idea to have a vet diagnose what worms or other intestinal parasites are present. And Cujo will need re-treatment in 3 weeks to kill adults that hatch from eggs in the intestines right now. You can use the Drontal Plus to deworm him now. It is an excellent deworming tablet and you only have to give him one tablet now. You should given him another deworming tablet in a month, and then he should be dewormed every three months thereafter.

You can give him the deworming tablet one day before the vaccines, then he should get another one a month after that in May, and after that he should get a deworming tablet every three months to keep him free from intestinal worms. I hope this helps!
