How long after distemper vaccine can I give tapeworm dewormer to my small puppy?

I personally do not recommend flea bombs, their safety is questionable as well as their effectiveness in some areas of the house. instead i would recommend to use a flea spray called Indoorex which is the safest and most effective one. i would also recommend using something else than frontline which is not very effective nowadays, try one of those: advantage, comfortis, advocate or bravecto.

Unless your vet gave you specific instructions, the dewormers are different medications and do not interact, so they can be given at the same time. The only reason to separate the dewormers would be if there is a large worm infestation and the deworming is likely to cause diarrhea. To be on the safe side, you could wait 2 days after the roundworm medication to give the tapeworm medication. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! For 24-48 hours after her vaccines, she may be tired or sore in the area where the vaccines were given. If you notice shes lethargic, vomiting, or having diarrhea, I would contact the vet that gave the vaccines. The dewormer will kill any intestinal parasites she may have. You may see worms pass in her feces. This is normal. You and your family can be around her. I would recommend cleaning up her stools right away, and washing your hands before eating. Kisses to Lucy!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Razor! Intestinal parasites are very common causes of diarrhea. The tapeworm medications are only specific for tapeworm while most 7-8 week old puppies also have roundworms. Also at almost 8 weeks old Razor should be starting his vaccinations. Parvo is a virus that causes diarrhea and can be life threatening. I would have Razor examined by your Vet and bring a stool sample to be tested for other intestinal parasites. He should be dewormed with a broad spectrum drug that gets more than just tapeworms. Other causes of diarrhea in puppies are: intestinal parasites like roundworms, whip and hook worm, coccidia, and giardia, food allergy/intolerance, dietary indiscretion, viral or bacterial infections and other intestinal diseases. Tapeworms are contracted from fleas so be sure that Razor doesn't have fleas and is on a good flea and tick medication. I hope this helps and I wish you and Razor the very best!
