Unfortunately there are no proven, scientific benefits to feed a raw diet to dogs. Many times they are unbalanced nutritionally, and they pose quite a risk to getting both the dog and owner sick. They can cause E coli and salmonella poisoning in the dog, and the owner can get that from handling the food or even being licked by the dog. This bacteria can be on the tongue and in the mouth for a while after eating. There have been many cases of severe GI illness in dogs who have been fed raw diets. I never recommend it. Dog kibble is balanced nutritionally, and there is no risk of you or Charlie getting things like E coli and Salmonella from it. I'd feed him a kibble diet. Best of luck.

Yes, but it is not good to feed it raw. Raw eggs can carry salmonella bacteria which can make him very sick and he can even die from it. You can give a BOILED egg as a treat once in a while. However, if you feed a complete puppy food for large sized dogs, you do not need to feed any eggs. Do not feed raw eggs as this will cause health problems (they contain avidine which causes biotin deficiency which in turn causes problems with your dog's nails and fur.

Cooked eggs are fine to give to Mike, but I do not recommend giving him raw eggs. They are not safe to give to him. When you make the eggs for him, fully cook them such as hard boiled or scrambled with no added seasonings (that includes salt and pepper). Do not give him the shells.
