You can give a BOILED egg as a treat once in a while. However, if you feed a complete puppy food for large sized dogs, you do not need to feed any eggs. Do not feed raw eggs as this will cause health problems (they contain avidine which causes biotin deficiency which in turn causes problems with your dog's nails and fur.

You can feed your dog a raw egg yolk once in a while. Do not feed raw egg white. Raw egg white contains the naturally occurring protein avidin which interferes with with the function of biotin in the body. Biotin is a vitamin necessary for the growth of cells, metabolism of fat, amongst other functions. Also it is not recommended to feed more than one egg a day.
