My puppy wheezed and vomited but acts normal. Is it serious?

I recommend to have apple examined by the veterinarian. Wheezing and vomiting can be signs of a severe infection, a blockage in the airway an an enlarged heart. Apple needs a physical exam to begin figuring out the cause and to receive the appropriate treatment so that she recovers. Have her examined today. If he is making some abnormal breathing sounds, it is possible that he could have aspirated (breathed some of the fluid into his lungs). This can lead to aspiration pneumonia, which can make dogs very sick. He may have some inflammation of his esophagus or his palate that is causing him to make a snorting noise, or he could even have something that is partially obstructing his airway. I would monitor Patton closely for any changes in behavior such as excessive lethargy or anorexia, or continued vomiting or diarrhea. Also watch for changes to his breathing effort - if he appears to be using his belly to help him breathe, this could be a sign of lung disease such as pneumonia and he should be seen by a veterinarian right away. If his snorting noise does not resolve on it's own over the next 24-48 hours, or if he develops any other clinical signs, I would have him evaluated by a veterinarian. They may recommend bloodwork and/or x-rays to look for evidence of lung disease. I hope this is helpful!

The symptoms she is experiencing such as trying to clear her throat, may actually be a cough. Coughing and wheezing can be indicative of an upper respiratory infection. She may need chest x-rays to confirm an upper respiratory infection and may be placed on antibiotics. I hope this helps and I wish you and Luna the best!

This is not a toxic food (even if she ate a lot), so I wouldn't be too worried. If she is otherwise acting normal, then it's likely that this just upset her stomach. Usually they vomit once or twice, then get over it. It's best not to feed her until morning while her stomach settles. If she starts vomiting multiple times (three or more) and is acting lethargic or abnormal, then I would be more concerned and recommend a visit to the vet. As long as Snowball is acting okay and does not continue to vomit, I would not worry too much. It is not unusual for puppies to vomit occasionally especially if it is been a long time since they've eaten. If Snowball becomes lethargic, develops diarrhea or continues to vomit, she should be seen by a veterinarian.
