My dog ate Cheeto popcorn puffs and threw up. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 8 years old | 11 lbs

A couple hours ago i found my dog eating my Cheeto popcorn puffs (just regular not spicy) and she did throw up and i was just wondering if i should bring her to a doctor. im not sure how much she ate but im really worried.

This is not a toxic food (even if she ate a lot), so I wouldn't be too worried. If she is otherwise acting normal, then it's likely that this just upset her stomach. Usually they vomit once or twice, then get over it. It's best not to feed her until morning while her stomach settles.

If she starts vomiting multiple times (three or more) and is acting lethargic or abnormal, then I would be more concerned and recommend a visit to the vet.

    Poor pup! Two episodes of vomiting does not concern me. If the vomiting lasts longer than an hour, or if he seems depressed and unwilling to eat later in the day, he needs to see a vet. Otherwise, he should be fine if he stays out of the junk food :).
