Keigen has been kinda wheezing and throwing up a white foamy substance it seems to have stopped. But I am just checking to make sure I don’t need to take him to the vet.

Thanks for your question. I'm wondering if Keigan picked up kennel cough. They don't need to be in a kennel to pick up this respiratory infection, as it is highly contagious. Dogs with kennel cough have a cough that can lead to them gagging and producing some white mucous or foam. Sometimes they cough a little, and sometimes the cough becomes severe. In more severe cases, antibiotic treatment may be necessary. If his symptoms seem to have stopped, then a veterinary visit isn't needed. If the symptoms return, but it does not sound like coughing, or if any other symptoms develop, then yes, have your veterinarian take a look at Keigan. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
