My puppy is vomiting, has diarrhea, and peed inside. What's wrong?

If you caught him chewing on something today, my concern is that he chewed up something else at an earlier time and may have a foreign body or toxicity. Stress can certainly cause vomiting and diarrhea in some situations but in a puppy that is used to being left alone, I am more concerned about foreign body, parasites or viral disease. If he is active and alert you can feed small frequent meals of his regular dog food (just a handful at a time every couple of house) if no vomiting then continue to monitor. But if he is depressed, won't eat or vomits up what he does eat then I strongly recommend a vet visit today. I hope Budleigh is feeling better soon. If Buddy seems off and is whimpering and vomiting, he may have something going on causing him discomfort. Because of his age, I would be suspicious of a viral infection, something he ate that he is having an indiscretion to or a foreign object he ate that is lodged somewhere in his intestines causing problems. Because there are multiple causes and it is difficult to determine what it is for sure, I would have a veterinarian examine Buddy so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. He could have an infection or a parasite causing the vomiting and diarrhea. He should be examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can test a fecal sample to determine if he has a parasite and then prescribe medications to help treat the problem.

If a dog is going to suffer a vaccine reaction, it typically occurs the same day as the vaccination. So this is likely unrelated. He may be experiencing GI upset secondary to all the new treats. I would stop those for now. Being so young and small, he should see his veterinarian if symptoms persist. In the meantime, encourage him to eat and drink small amounts. Vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy are quite concerning in any dog, especially puppies because of the diseases they can get such as parvovirus. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. They would be able to check for this disease as well as checking for other possibilities such as intestinal worms or other infections. The sooner these diseases are diagnosed the better the outcome tends to be. At the very least, Gus can be started on anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medications and his hydration status can be checked. Hello, I do not believe the pyrantel from 6 days ago would have any affect on today. Vomiting and diarrhea in a puppy could be commonly caused by infectious disease, such as parvovirus, or an intestinal obstruction, such as a swallowed toy stuck in the intestines. It would be helpful to know if Billy has had all of his vaccinations. I'd recommend an appointment with your vet. They can guide you best after a physical exam. If Billy becomes lethargic or uninterested in food, that would be a sign to get him to a veterinarian as soon as possible. I hope this helps. Vomiting is accompanied by signs of nausea, retching and abdominal contractions. Regurgitation is the passive upbringing of food. The puppy may be surprised the the food the food or water slipping up. Vomiting and diarrhea (or soft stool) are common in young puppies. This can be due to a diet change, intestinal parasites or stress from an environment changed. Regurgitation is typically caused by a severe congenital anomaly when evident in a very young puppy.
