My 6-week-old puppy is sick: vomiting bile and loose stool. What to do?

He could have an infection or a parasite causing the vomiting and diarrhea. He should be examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can test a fecal sample to determine if he has a parasite and then prescribe medications to help treat the problem.

It's not good that Steve has been vomiting and having loose stool. It's fine to take away his food for a bit, but make sure he always has access to water. Give his food back to him in the morning, but if he vomits that, vomits water, refuses to eat, or becomes very lethargic, I would take him into a vet right away. Best of luck.

Baily is so cute! I am concerned though that he is not eating and having such intestinal upset. I would recommend you take Baily in for an exam with your vet as soon as possible. This is certainly unusual for such a young dog. I would recommend having him examined by your veterinarian. Some puppies will vomit if they have eaten too much, or ate something they shouldn't. I also see vomiting in cases of parasite infestation, so if has not been regularly wormed then he should be. Not all worms are visible in the feces, rather we can see eggs under the microscope when we complete a fecal exam. I hope this helps!

Whisky sounds very ill, and at his age, I would be concerned his symptoms are due to parvovirus. That would cause vomiting, diarrhea, and blood in the diarrhea (the red color of his poop). Very young puppies are extremely fragile, and his symptoms are quite serious. I would consider this a medical emergency and he needs to see a vet now. Please take him into one immediately.
