My puppy keeps getting hiccups then throws up bile. What should I do?

Vomiting in such a young puppy is usually something to worry about, as he could get dehydrated in a matter of hours, it's probably an infection, i would strongly recommend taking him to the vet ASAP in order to get it treated.

Poor Gulliver! He could have an upset stomach from too many treats. If he is otherwise acting fine, you could withhold food for the day and then try a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice and see how he does with that. If the vomiting continues or he becomes lethargic then he needs to be seen by your vet for treatment. Hope he feels better soon!

Vomiting can be observed with gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, food sensitivity, foreign body ingestion and obstruction or other conditions such as pancreatitis or kidney disease. Poor Louis! There are many causes for continued vomiting. Certainly parasites like worms and giardia can cause frequent vomiting. Bacterial over growth is also common in younger dogs. Food allergies or intolerance are possible at his age. Lastly a more serious cause can include a partial intestinal obstruction. I recommend to have Louis visit his veterinarian for a physical exam and to rule out some of the more common causes. Treatment will depend on the cause and may include medications or a special diet. Poor Nunu . Sometimes it is hard to know why a puppy with vomit. IT is possible in such a young dog she ate something she should not of or has parasites. I would recommend taking her to a vet to make sure she is parasite free because she is a puppy. Otherwise I would monitor it at home. If she vomits more than she should go to a vet to make sure she does not have a viral or bacterial infection.. Hope that helps
