My 15-day-old puppy is vomiting, not eating, and has bloody diarrhea.

Unfortunately, this is not normal behavior for a young puppy and is pretty concerning. At less than two months old, your puppy needs to eat regularly or he risks having low blood sugar, which can cause serious health problems. Vomiting is not typically caused by stress and all these signs make me worry about a more serious illness. Please have him seen by a veterinarian right away because his lack of appetite and vomiting are very serious.

It could be parvo but it could also be other things. you need to take him urgently to the vet for him to get hospitalized and treated, if it is parvo his chances are not good at his age but if it is something else he could survive if he receives the correct treatment.

Vomiting and bloody diarrhea can occur in young puppies as a result of parvovirus, other intestinal viruses, parasites, or an upset stomach from changes in food or medication. Young puppies are more susceptible to the effects of dehydration and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar - typically caused by not eating or excessive vomiting) than adult dogs. At this point, the best thing to do is take Pickles to a vet immediately. The vet will be able to examine her, perform any necessary testing (possibly a stool test, parvovirus test, blood tests) so that the most appropriate treatment can be started. With the severity of Pickles' clinical signs, there are no home remedies that are likely to be even remotely effective. I hope that she is feeling better soon!

Poor precious. Make sure she is eating about 5-6 small meals a day to help keep her blood sugar up. Since she is having vomiting and diarrhea I would really concerned about her getting dehydrated and weak. She could have something serious going on like parvo virus or a lot of intestinal parasites. I would strongly recommend to get her in to see your vet as soon as possible so they can test her for parvo and worms. They will be able to make sure she has the appropriate medicine to make her feel better and make sure she isn't getting dehydrated.

Hello. If you are concerned about parvo, blood may not appear in the diarrhea for another day or so. If he continues to have vomiting & diarrhea, Justice will become dehydrated & this will make him very, very weak. This is a medical emergency and Pansy needs to see a vet now. I would be very concerned she could have parvovirus causing her symptoms. She sounds very sick, and veterinary care is needed for her right away. Best of luck.

Oh my. Poor guy. If he has a fever this can be caused by a bacterial or viral infection (i.e. Parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated). I would have him tested for parvovirus first and if that comes up negative he needs full panel bloodwork and a urinalysis. to fully evaluate him. He should be on antibiotics and fluid therapy to help bring down his fever. He also needs anti-vomit medication to prevent him from becoming dehydrated due to excessive vomiting. If his condition has not improved within 24-48 hrs, then you should consider having him hospitalized so that he can get around the clock care and treatment. Poor guy. I do hope that your pup Shadow is able to make a full and speedy recovery from his illness. For tonight you can try feeding him some slghly warmed up cans of baby food (meat and vegetables or squash) to try to entice him to eat. Only a small amount at a time to hopefully not induce his vomiting. Best wishes and take care.
