Oh goodness, Kurama and the kitten are just adorable! At 3 months of age, it's the perfect time to give Kumara his second distemper/parvo combination vaccine. You may also consider bordetella (kennel cough), especially if he will be spending time around other dogs (grooming, boarding, dog park, etc) as well as leptospirosis, which has become more commonly seen in recent months in the northeast. At 16 weeks he'll get his final distemper/parvo booster, along with his rabies vaccination. You should also strongly consider a fecal test for parasites, as well as at least 2 deworming treatments. Your kitten will need 3 rounds of the feline distemper vaccine, starting at 8 weeks of age. Just like Kumara, she'll need rabies at 16 weeks. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Luna is only 2 months old and she will not have sufficient titres at that age. We do the DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza) vaccine starting at 7-8 weeks and booster it every 3-4 weeks until she has received 2 past 12 weeks of age. Titres are a waste of money on a 8 week old puppy. She likely has never received shots and it is in her best interest to just give them. The rabies vaccine isn't given until 12-16 weeks of age. No, Princess should not be dangerous to anyone if she bites or licks them - it's very normal for puppies to do this :) Rabies is extremely rare in pet dogs, and would be virtually unheard-of in a puppy this age - it can only be transmitted through the bite of an infected wild animal, so it's unlikely that she would have had any possibility of exposure at the age of two months. Dogs can get their rabies vaccine anytime after 12 weeks of age. So she isn't quite old enough yet, but your veterinarian can vaccinate her in another month or so. I do not recommend giving 5 in 1 vaccines on your own, because in my experience, vaccines purchased over the counter and given by owners are often not effective. It's much better to have your veterinarian give the vaccine, to make sure it's guaranteed to work.
