My puppy keeps throwing up daily. Is it the heat or his food?

She might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 8 hours then offer Ava boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues vomiting or is not eating, take her to the vet to get treatment.

Not every food is the same amount of calories per cup so she may require more per day than her previous diet. Because she gets sick on an empty stomach, I would split the daily amount into 2 or 3 meals a day. It is common for dogs not to eat when its hot- they don't require the calories. Hi. Poor aria. Her tummy must be upset. It could be something she ate, it could be a metabolic or endocrine disease, or many others. If she has only vomited once, you can withhold food for 24 hours, and then try boiled chicken and rice. If the vomiting continues, I would get her in to be checked. Good luck.

Puppies are notorious chewers and can swolow all kind of things. Your puppy may have a foreign body in the stomach or eaten something outside that does not agree with his stomach. Additionally, vaccines are not perfect and I would not rule a viral infection. Heat stoke should not be ruled out and nor should intestinal parasites.I would advise that Ace be examined by a veterinarian shortly. Puppies can get dehydrated easily. Poor pup. It is possible he just has an upset stomach from something he got into. Try feeding him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken or lean ground turkey and white rice for the next few meals to see if this can settle his stomach. However, if he continues to vomit, acts lethargic, or has a decreased appetite, then there could be something more serious going on internally that will require a vet visit to sort out. I'm sorry Bruno isn't doing well! Yes 101.1F is normal for dogs. It could be that the curd upset his stomach. Curd is a dairy product, and it's never recommended to give dogs dairy because it causes GI upset in the form of vomiting and diary. I can give you home remedy to try to see if that helps Bruno, and in the future, do not give him any dairy. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
