Hello, sorry to hear about Charlie. He may need to have that removed or at least monitored with x-ray to make sure that it does not cause an obstruction. Please have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. If it is not a large glue trap, they may be able to induce vomiting so that he can expel it and avoid further complications. If Chewy is acting normal so far, I wouldn't be concerned just yet - the hair tie could possibly cause an obstruction, but there's a good chance that it will pass through without causing any problems. Signs of a possible obstruction would include repeated episodes of vomiting, not wanting to eat, and acting lethargic - if he develops any of these symptoms, I would have him seen by a vet right away. But as long as he is acting normal, eating and drinking with no vomiting, I wouldn't worry. In most cases, objects like this will pass through within 2-3 days of being swallowed; you can look for it in his stool so that you'll know once it's safely out :)

Hi and thank you for reaching out about Banner. He should be ok. Watch for any vomiting, decrease in appetite, or diarrhea. You should find it come out on the back end later today or tomorrow. There is a small risk of problems but most likely it will pass thru without any complications. I would feed him a good size bulky meal of wet food now to help pass the paper clip on down. If you have any concerns you can have an X-ray taken at anytime. It will show up on there very easily.

Hopefully Blue has vomited up all the material that he ingested. Unfortunately at this stage if there is anymore it has likely already passed into the gut. If so it may pass through without problem especially if the scraps are small. Over the next few days you need to be really vigilant, if it gets stuck in the gut signs you will be looking for are depression, pain, vomit and diarrhoea, not wanting to eat. Go to the vet right away if you suspect any of these.
