Can my puppy go outside to potty after getting his first shots?

  You can take Max out in your yard to do potty training, but I would not take him any place dog frequent, such as parks, around the neighborhood, or dog parks. That's because he won't be fully vaccinated until he receives two more series of shots each series has to be given four weeks after the previous one).

  First of all, Nala is adorable! As long as you have not had any dogs diagnosed with parvovirus in your backyard for the past 7-8 years, it should be perfectly fine to start taking Nala to your yard for potty training. Enjoy your cute little puppy!

  Yes taking her outside can help with Penelope's potty training, but if she isn't fully vaccinated (I would check with your vet to see if she is as puppies typically need three series of shots given four weeks apart to be fully immunized), then I would only let her go outside in your yard. Keep her away from any dogs of unknown vaccine status and dogs who aren't vaccinated. Call your vet tomorrow to see if Penelope needs another series of shots to be fully vaccinated and if she does, get her in as soon as possible. Ten days after she receives that last series of shots, she will be fully vaccinated.
