When can my puppy get shots and go outside before fully vaccinated?

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 11 days old | 3 lbs

How old does my puppy need to be to get her shots? And also can she go outside to use the bathroom without her shots ?

Good questions!

Puppies start their vaccinations around 7-8 weeks of age so Luna is definitely ready to get her first shots.

She can go outside to use the bathroom. Just do not take her to areas where a lot of dogs congregate like dog parks. I would not take her around too many other dogs unless you know they have been properly vaccinated until she is done with all her shots around 16 weeks of age.

    Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Yes, it is time for Luna to have her first vaccination now. The vaccine will have to be repeated in 2-4 weeks. Please, remember to de-worm her before or just after the vaccination.
