Why is my 7-month-old puppy not eating much but seems happy?

If it's been less than 24 hours since Tiger ate, I wouldn't be too concerned about him just yet especially since he is acting normally Try offering him some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts; if he eats that, feed him this diet for a couple of days before slowly adding back in his normal diet. Now if he refuses to eat this, and/or develops other signs such as lethargy, vomiting, not drinking water, vomiting water, or diarrhea, then take him into a vet as soon as possible.

Poor Kuttush! I worry he may have something else going on like a viral infection, upset tummy from eating something he shouldn't, or even intestinal parasites. You can try to entice him to eat by offering some plain boiled boneless, skinless chicken and white rice to see if this helps. Since he is so young and small, if he isn't improving soon I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to figure out the cause and get him started on the right meds before he becomes too dehydrated. I hope this helps!

Hello. If he's bright and alert and feeling well drinking water no vomiting and no diarrhea I would not be too concerned at this time. But if he refuses to eat tomorrow or shows any signs of lethargy loss of activity vomiting diarrhea, he does need to be seen as soon as possible. Hopefully he'll feel better in a day or so. I would have Moja seen by a vet immediately. It's very concerning when a young puppy won't eat, and it could be caused by a serious illness, such as parvovirus, distemper, intestinal worms, infection, or injury among other causes. It's important to have the cause of his anorexia diagnosed so he can be treated. Please take him into a vet now.

Kudos to you for being so concerned about Buddy! :-) As long as Buddy is at a healthy body weight, he is likely getting plenty to eat. To make sure he seems to be a healthy body weight, run your hands over his ribs to assure that you can easily feel (but not see) his ribs. You should also be able to see a "waistline" when looking down at him. I can't see Buddy well enough in the pictures to help you determine if his weight is appropriate. Some dogs are naturally picky or have been conditioned to eat less dog food because they know that treats or more appealing food is coming. I always recommend offering food twice daily as you are doing, but some dogs choose to only eat once a day. Avoid midday treats or snacks to try to train Buddy to eat at mealtimes and continue avoiding table scraps. Make sure that Buddy is being offered a high quality kibble (I generally recommend Science Diet, Purina ProPlan or Royal Canin foods) and if you choose to switch foods, be sure to do so by mixing old and new foods together over 5-7 days. If the canned diet seems to tempt him to eat, you can continue mixing a bit in with the kibble, but I would recommend avoiding Beneful and looking for a higher quality canned option. Poncholo could be feeling ill, causing him to not want to eat. You are absolutely correct he needs to be on puppy food, and I would recommend keeping him on puppy food until he is a year old. You can try soaking his dry food in gently warmed low sodium beef or chicken broth, or mixing in some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in with his dry food. If these methods don't tempt him to eat, I would take him into the vet for an exam.

I would just give him a small dose of plain white boneless skinless chicken and white rice to help settle his tummy. If he is acting lethargic or continues to have vomiting or diarrhea, I would have a vet take a look at him. Small dogs like him can quickly get dehydrated.
