Is it safe to give my puppy Nemex wormer and Trifexis on the same day?

I recommend offering a small meal or treat beforehand so that there is a little food in her stomach before getting these medications. No. They both cover hearteorms and should be given at least 2 weeks apart. If you just need the flea control portion of the trifexis you can get a separate tablet to cover it that can be given with heartgard such as nexgard or simparica

Hello. There is no need to separate these two products. There are some heartworm products that should not be given within 2 weeks of some of tick & flea products such as Bravecto & Nexgard, but administering a dewormer will not cause a problem with your flea product. It is ok to give trifexis and simparica together (staggered by 2 weeks is great). Both of those medications will protect against fleas so there is some overlap with that. If you want to streamline how many medications you are giving Dakota monthly, Another option would be to use sentinel or interceptor instead of the trifexis and give with that with simparica monthly. These products contain the same heart worm preventative (milbemycin) as trifexis but do not contain any medication to kill adult fleas. (Trifexis contains both the milbemycin for heart worm prevention and Spinosad for fleas). That way you would be giving one medication for heart worm prevention (sentinel or interceptor ) and one for flea and tick prevention (simparica). Another option is to continue trifexis and add in a tick collar (such as the preventic collar or the seresto collar). I know there are so many products and options it is confusing ! Fendbendazole and Trifexis will both treat for roundworms. Praziquantel only deworms for tapeworms, not roundworms. You can give the praziquantel but it is best to wait at least 24 hours after you have given the others before doing so.

Yes this should be fine and shouldn't cause him any harm. I just wouldn't give them on the same day. You will need to deworm today and repeat it in 3 weeks to help get ride of the hookworms. I would then have your vet check a stool lsample to ensure they are gone. I hope this helps!
