My large puppy is limping, sick, and stomach looks sunken. Vet needed?

Lameness, loss of appetite and energy are definitely concerning. This can be caused by tick borne diseases such as Lyme disease. There are also certain bone and joint diseases that only affect growing puppies, and need to be ruled out with an x-Ray. I recommend having your appointment sooner rather than later, you may want to call your vet and ask for an earlier appointment.

If he was behaving normally otherwise, then watching him at home would have been recommended, but since he is lethargic as well, he really should be seen. It could be anything from a strain or pull to orthopedics injury to infection. A physical exam, xrays and a screening for tick borne diseases would be recommended. I see that Lexi is Lab, which is considered a large breed dog. Large breed puppies can be prone to a condition called hypertrophic osteodystrophy, which is an inflammation of the long bones. It will cause intermittent lameness, and this could be the cause of Lexi's current lameness. I would take her into the vet on Monday for an exam. The vet can do x-rays to confirm if she does have hypertrophic osteodystrophy or not. There is no cure for it, but most puppies recover on their own after a couple of episodes. In the meantime, take Lexi out on a leash only, no running or jumping, and keep her as quiet as possible.

Rex needs to see his vet in order to determine what is causing him to limp. He could have torn a ligament or strained a muscle, or worse, he could have fractured a bone, which can be quite serious in puppies, and needs proper attention in order to heal so that there is not long-term damage. If the vomiting has continued, that is a concern for gastrointestinal problems - parasites, a blockage, bacterial or viral gastroenteritis, etc. The raspy breathing could be due to an upper respiratory infection due to a virus or bacteria as well. The symptoms you describe are not easily connectable, and he needs to be seen by a vet and examined in order to figure out what is causing all of these problems.

Poor puppy. At this stage Reese needs images taken of his entire leg to pinpoint the problem area and get a good game plan together on how to help improve his mobility.
