My puppy ran into fridge, now breathing fast and acting strange. What's wrong?

If you think Eli is having breathing difficulties, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. The vet can listen to her lungs and obtain chest x-rays to help diagnose what the problem might be. She may have a respiratory infection and need an antibiotic for treatment. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Being hit by a car is very concerning as most of the time there is more damage than what can be seen from the outside. If he is not walking well and his breathing is abnormal, I highly recommend you consider having him reevaluated by a veterinarian since he has not improved. They may take chest x rays to check on why he is breathing loudly such as a pulmonary contusion for example. Treatment would be dependent on findings though at least pain control medications can be started. I hope he does well. Good luck and have a good night!

It sounds like Cubbie is really sick. Breathing fast can be due to a fever (due to infection), an injury, pain or even a problem in the lungs. Any any of those problems can cause a puppy to not eat well and not feel well. Anytime a small puppy is not eating normally, they need medical attention right away. Small puppies can become very sick very quickly because they cannot regulate their blood sugar or temperature normally. If she was exhibiting respiratory problems last night and then fell over, she could have passed out due to lack of oxygen / blood to the brain. I would be worried about primary heart disease / failure and respiratory disease that has lead to these symptoms. Seeing that Miss Piggy is older in the photos, heart disease and respiratory disease are definitely my top suspicions. I would strongly recommend that you get her seen by an emergency veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I would have her blood tested and have x-rays taken of her chest to see what is going on. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do in the meantime for her if this is her heart or respiratory disease. Poor Treasure! It could be that she is in pain or she could be very sick. It's quite concerning that such a young puppy is breathing fast, not moving, not eating, drinking, or peeing. These symptoms in such a young dog are a medical emergency, and she has to see a vet immediately. She needs veterinary care now to diagnose what is causing these symptoms so she can be treated. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies.
