Why is my dog breathing hard and shaking when it's cool?

Something is definitely making her feel bad, but this is not specific to any one problem. The fact that she has a high temperature makes me suspicious that she has an infection. Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. Shaking can be a sign of discomfort. There is no way of treating this at home without knowing what is actually going on. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Keeko evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!

The main concern is that he is having to position his head in this fashion to breath. That is very worrisome for pathology in the lungs. Whenever there is a change in breathing pattern, the pet should be examined. I recommend to have him examined right away. It's better to be safe than sorry. I hope this helps.

Hello. In an older dog that suddenly develops any type of labored breathing, my first thought is a cardiopulmonary problem. Dogs just do not get colds.
