My puppy is breathing fast, not acting normal, eating less, not energetic, refusing treats. could eh be injured?

It sounds like Cubbie is really sick. Breathing fast can be due to a fever (due to infection), an injury, pain or even a problem in the lungs. Any any of those problems can cause a puppy to not eat well and not feel well. Anytime a small puppy is not eating normally, they need medical attention right away. Small puppies can become very sick very quickly because they cannot regulate their blood sugar or temperature normally. I think Cubbie needs to see a vet right away to figure out what is going on and how to treat it.

Why is my 9-week-old puppy breathing fast and coughing at night?

I would recommend bringing Pippa to a veterinarian especially if she is coughing and breathing hard. She may have an upper respiratory infection but could also be something more. Your veterinarian can listen to her to make sure her lungs are clear and if not can perform x-rays to make sure she doesn't have pneumonia or bronchitis. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Mama! She is super cute! I would take Mama to an Emergency hospital and have her looked at as soon as you can. Anytime there is concern for breathing it could be life threatening, especially if she is also weak. Puppies can suffer from low blood sugar which can make them weak. The fast breathing could be from a fever, pneumonia, or pain. The distended belly may or may not be related. She could just have worms. The best thing for Mama is to have a Vet do an exam. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that Cookis is so sick! The difficulty breathing and vomiting in a young puppy is very concerning to me. You need to take Cookis back to your veterinarian as it sounds like X-rays need to be done. She may have developed pneumonia or have a blockage in her gastrointestinal tract. It is very important to have Cookis seen by a veterinarian as I'm concerned it sounds like she is very ill. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do at home to help at this point without knowing what exactly is causing these issues. I hope Cookis can get to veterinarian, get the care she needs and is feeling better soon.

He may have a respiratory infection that requires an oral antibiotic for treatment. My Maltese is sick: not eating, throwing up, and breathing fast. Help!

It does sound like your pup is sick, and there are a lot of different things going on with her at the moment. The breathing hard can be a sign of pain, and throwing up is a sign of GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis, which all can also cause pain. These would make her not want to eat as well. Licking her paws can be a sign of allergies. Your dog has to see a vet as soon as possible for a physical exam, blood tests, and urinalysis. Doing all these tests will help diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated. I would bring her into a vet now.

Hello. It sounds like Mac is very sick. If he is breathing fast this could be trouble in his lungs, pain, toxins, or many other concerns. I would get him to a veterinarian right away as any breathing trouble in a dog, and especially a puppy, is a very big concern. He could have heat stroke, could have ingested a toxin, could have had a trauma (if he goes out unsupervised), could have severe abdominal pain or gastritis. I hope he feels better soon.
