Most likely this is a mild skin infection (bacterial) and the green bump could be a small pustule. Puppies commonly get little skin infections on the belly area. You can try cleansing it with a mild soap (i.e. Dove) and warm water, letting it dry, and applying Neosporin to it twice a day. Sometimes the pets immune system and conservative treatment like this is enough to get it to resolve. However if it starts to get worse or starts to spread then it is best to get puppy seen by your vet for further investigation of the area and perhaps oral antibiotics or stronger topical antibiotic sprays to use on the area to get it heal.

Although a picture of it would help to give you a more specific answer, this lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established.
Your vet may want to perform an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy to sample the bump and determine its underlying nature.
Differentials would include skin cysts, infections, benign or more malignant type of tumors.

This is a staff infection of the skin and requires a short course of antibiotics prescribed by your vet. The vet may elect to do a topical medicated bath, but this defintely will require a vet visit.
I hope that you can get Cotto seen soon to get this skin infection cleared up. Best of luck moving forward. Take care.

It may resolve on it's own. You can continue to monitor it at home as long as it doesn't change rapidly, become painful or spreads. Keep the area clean and dry. If he is licking at the spot, place an e-collar (cone) on him.

My 4-month-old puppy has pimple bumps on her belly. How to treat?

I suspect that these are little bumps are due to a bacterial infection (pyoderma). Puppies commonly get this on their bellies and they usually go away with good cleaning. I recommend cleaning the belly with a medicated wipe or shampoo (can get this at the pet store) once a day until the bump(s) are gone. If it seems to get worse, then you'll want to take Mia into the vet for an exam. Why does my puppy have small brown bumps and spots on his belly?

Skin lesions like these can be caused by bacterial, parasitic or fungal infection, dietary or environmental allergies or sensitivities, immune system disorders, or a combination of the above. Sometimes puppies like Palmer can get a type of “puppy acne” along the belly as well. If the lesions do not start to go away in the next week, or if they start getting worse, I recommend making an appointment to have Palmer seen by your veterinarian to help determine the cause of the bumps you’ve noticed and to make sure they are treated appropriately. The vet will likely want to look at a sample from the area under the microscope to determine if there is an infection and to figure out what medication is appropriate for treatment.

What's this big white and purple bump on my puppy's hairless belly?

It's likely an infection under the skin. This happens more commonly in puppies and can be treated effectively by a veterinarian. It's also possible that this is a benign growth, but much less likely. It's best to have a veterinarian examine her, because this may need to be drained. It's also possible that something is stuck under the skin, which is causing the inflammation and infection. For now it's best to hold a warm compress over the bump for 15 minutes twice a day. Do this by soaking a cloth in warm salt water and applying it the the bump. Avoid pressing or poking the bump. It looks like she may have puppy pyoderma, which is a skin infection. The skin of the puppy is quite sensitive, and it can be common for them to get this skin infection around the genital area and stomach. This does need to be treated by a vet, she needs antibiotics, so I recommend you make an appointment for her to see her vet this week to get it treated. I hope this helps!

My puppy has a red, inflamed bump on his belly. What should I do?

In the picture, it appears that the affected skin is bumpy and then there is quite a bit of redness around the edge. It’s possible that it could be a wart-like growth, but because of the amount of inflammation (causing the redness) going on, I would recommend taking Mac to the vet for a closer look. The vet will also look closely at all of Mac’s other skin (and mouth and other mucous membranes) to see if there are any other affected areas. They may be able to diagnose or have a better guess as to what’s going on, and discuss treatment options if any need to happen. Until he sees the vet, it would be helpful to have him wear an e-collar/cone so he can’t lick the area anymore. Licking will increase the inflammation and can skew how the vet evaluates the area.
