Why are my 2-month-old puppy's front legs knuckling and bowing?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 20 lbs

My pit bull puppy that's 2 months old front legs are knuckling and bowing. I was on vacation, my sister and kids were watching my puppies and I just noticed this today after getting back.

It sounds like Gotti may be suffering from carpal flexural deformity. This can be due to uneven growth of the bones and tissues of the legs, as well as dietary imbalances. I would take him into the vet for evaluation. In early stages, this may be corrected with splints and dietary changes, although surgery may be required to fix it.
